7 Jan. Personal Reflection (Sarimbun Scout Camp)

I have learnt that punctuality, teamwork is very important from all activities and we must also overcome our fears and make good decisions.

They help me by handing up my work on time in school and project work needs teamwork. By making good decisions, we can make up our mind on what to do and what not to do.

If I had another chance to try an activity, I would choose the scavenger hunt activity(getting the materials to create the flag). I was not a good leader that time because I did not speak loud enough for the girls to hear my voice. I did not explain to them where we were going and I was halted by Miss Seah to explain clearly to them. I should have walked slower and ask the girls to fasten their pace.

I would want to be more helpful and caring in the future.

5 Jan. Team Building Challenge

Forging excellence means that you have a will to win and an urge to reach to our full potential or maybe beyond our fullest potential to excel. I think my strength with my team is having a good interaction with each other and teamwork which is the most important in the team building challenge. I think I should cultivate my self esteem and develop a sense of belonging in SST. I get involved in the activity and help the others when they need my help.

6 Jan: #2 The Amazing Race - Debrief (II) Personal Reflection

I understand that "Expanding Our Learning Networks" means that we must expand our learning networks globally and locally. By expanding our learning networks globally, we can understand both countries better with technology and interact through the internet to have an extra bonding with the countries. We also must expand our networks locally because internet does not provide everything for our knowledge and need to engage in many activities like helping our community or the elderly, and getting to know your neighborhood. It is important because this is value that everyone must learn to be a future-looking leader that knows Singapore's street directory very well so as to communicate well with foreigners.

4 Jan. MacBridge Activity 1 - School Vision (II)

I think that we could organize a students' exchange programme and communicate through social networking websites when both schools are to return to their own country and also be globally connected most of the time. With an institution of science and technology, we could focus more on these educational subjects to improve the communications worldwide.

4 Jan. Bridge Building Activity

Posted by BENZ Kew , Monday, January 4, 2010 6:38 PM

Our group did a satisfactory job as we listened to our Project Manager (Zheng Jie) instructions and complied with him. We were quite focused when we were constructing the bridge but when we had 30 minutes left, Lincoln kept complaining that we are running out of time and have to speed up our construction, although we still eventually ran out of time. Through this activity, I have learnt what am I good at, and teamwork is very important in SST, Singapore. Initially, I did not really communicate well with my peers but as time elapse, we know more about one another better.
